The rankings are compiled by global higher education analytics firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) with a methodology focused primarily on research performance and international reputation, together accounting for 65% of the overall score. In recent years, QS has expanded the methodology to also assess sustainability, employability and global engagement.
Strong performances were seen across a number of indicators, with the University notably jumping 41 places to 239 for the International Students indicator.
An even stronger showing was seen for the International Students Diversity indicator which saw Ðãɫֱ²¥ reach the position of 210. This indicator looks at the ratio of international students to overall students, as well as the diversity of nationalities that those students are from.
The Sustainability indicator, which evaluates the social and environmental impact of universities in alignment with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) saw Ðãɫֱ²¥ attain 195 position. This performance aligns with the main theme of the University’s strategic plan - Strategy 2030: a sustainable world for future generations.
Over recent months, considerable efforts have been made across the University to enhance our performance in these rankings. There are also encouraging gains in key areas, such as international student diversity and sustainability.
